Horizontal mixed flow pump
Horizontal mixed-flow pump is HW mixed-flow pump in professional terms. HW series pump is a horizontal, single-stage, single-suction back-opening volute mixed-flow pump. It has the advantages of reasonable structure, reliable use, convenient maintenance, high efficiency, small size and light weight.

Scope of application
The specific speed of the mixed-flow pump is higher than that of the centrifugal pump and lower than that of the axial-flow pump, generally between 300-500. Its lift is higher than that of the axial flow pump, but the flow is smaller than that of the axial flow pump and larger than that of the centrifugal pump.
HW series mixed-flow pumps are suitable for conveying clean water, pulp with a concentration of no more than 3% or solutions with PH=3~10 and fiber length less than 80mm, and other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water. The temperature of the liquid to be conveyed should not be higher than 50 °C.
Widely used in agricultural irrigation and drainage, industrial wastewater and urban water supply and drainage. Among them, the HW ultra-low head mixed-flow pump has low head, large flow, low energy consumption and high efficiency, and is especially suitable for the construction and renovation of pumping stations in low-head areas.
Whether it is a volute-type mixed-flow pump or a guide vane-type mixed-flow pump, it is also composed of five parts: impeller, pump casing, pump shaft, bearing and packing sealing device (as shown in the figure). The shape of the volute mixed-flow pump is similar to that of a centrifugal pump; the shape of the guide vane mixed-flow pump is very similar to that of an axial flow pump. The shape of the impeller of the mixed-flow pump is stubby and short. Part of it is like the impeller of a centrifugal pump; part of it is like the impeller of an axial-flow pump. There are two structural forms of the pump casing: one is the volute shape. For example, the HB type mixed-flow pump is basically the same as the centrifugal pump, but its pump body is large and installed horizontally; the other is cylindrical. For example, the guide vane mixed flow pump and the agricultural drainage pump are similar to the vertical axial flow pump, and the pump body is also equipped with guide vanes, which are installed and used vertically.
