working principle
The rotary cam pump is driven by two parallel shafts, which rotate relative to each other driven by synchronized gears. The rotor is mounted on the shaft, and a small cavity is formed between the rotor and the pump casing. The geometry of the rotor has been specially designed. Regardless of the position of the rotor, the pressure side and suction side of the pump are completely isolated.
During operation, the medium is continuously filled in the small cavity formed between the rotor and the pump shell. As the rotor rotates, the medium is continuously pushed from the suction end to the discharge end. The pump discharge and suction sides are always sealed by the rotor, so no valves are required. The squeezing and shearing of the medium by the pump is extremely small and can be ignored, and there is almost no pulsation. The rotor is made of wear-resistant rubber, plastic and metal. By changing the direction of rotation of the rotor, the flow direction of the medium is reversible. BODA rotary lobe pumps are therefore ideally suited for reverse operation
